She Believed....

Hi All,
On Gina K's Stamp TV this week, she demonstrated this
Garden Background technique.
So I thought I would give it a try.
I got out my Fabulous Florets(123027) & Bloomin' Marvelous(Sale-A-Bration) stamp sets from Stampin' Up and went to task at it.
I stamped the various flowers using a combination of Blushing Bride(119786), Crisp Cantaloupe(131176), Strawberry Slush(131178) and Pistachio Pudding(131177) for the leaves. The last three colours are
Stampin' Up's 2013-2015 In-Colours.
The sentiment is a stamp from the Feel Goods(129684) stamp set, which I stamped in Baked Brown Sugar(131174) and layered on to a piece of white which I sponged using Strawberry Slush and die cut using the Labels Collections Dies(125598). I used my Paper-piercing tool(126189) and Festive Paper-Piercing pack(127857) to get the stitching effect around the Strawberry Slush piece.
I then sponged(101610) a layer of Whisper White(100730) sponged using Pistachio Pudding around the edges and adhered it to the Baked Brown Sugar(131296) base. I wrapped garden background piece with 7/16" natural Trim(129287). The button was made using Simply Pressed Clay(130685) and Button & Blossoms Molds(131272)(Love this stuff!!), and I tied a bow with Linen Thread(104199).

Happy Father's Day Dad...!

Hi All,
Father's Day is just 5 days away.
I made this card for my Dad. He really is a Dapper Dad(129198).
Like this stamp set I used here from Stampin' Up.
I sponged one of our new in-colours for 2013-2015, Baked Brown Sugar (131174) on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. Then stamped off and stamped the background stamp En Francais(127790) and added the watch from the same Dapper Dad set. DSP Print Poetry(129312) paper stack from the spring mini this year.
The paper pieced shoe and sentiment Well Scripted(discontinued)were added using
Stampin' Demensionals (104430).
This all adhered to a background of Midnight Muse(126843) cardstock.

Here's a picture of my Dapper Dad.
Card inspired by his attire.

Wishing all Dads a Happy, Happy Father's Day.

Simply Pressed Clay & Moulds... New from Stampin' Up!...

So... I received my Simply Pressed Clay(130685)  and Simply Pressed Clay Moulds(131272) yesterday, and I started to play and experiment. I was having trouble getting a good impression from the button mould. I heard about putting them in the freezer and decided to try it. I found that once I pressed the clay into the mould then put it in the freezer for about 15-20 minutes, I got the best result.  The buttons came out perfectly round. A couple of things to keep in mind though, take them out of the moulds as soon as you take it from the freezer and don't handle it too much until it drys.

Recover Rapidly - Get Well Card

Hi All,
I used the bandaid from Patterned Occasions (Sale-a-bration) stamp set
to make a background piece.
I then stamped the Sick phrase from the Wordplay stamp set and cut it out with the Apothecary Accents Framelits dies and sponged the edges.
I C.A.S.E.D this idea for the inside of the card from Brandy's Cards.
A nice little interactive feature.

Up in the Air...

Hi All,
So sorry I've been a lazy blogger the last couple of weeks, but I've been busy elsewhere in my life too.
I made this card a couple months ago for my Stampin' Up workshop.
Starting with a pool party base of 4 1/2" x 11" (folded in half).
I then ran a pool party piece of 4" x 5 1/4" through my Vine Street embossing folder (Sale-a-Bration)
and adhered it to the base of the card.
Using Summer Starfruit and Rich Razzelberry I double stamped the hot air balloons from the Up, Up & Away (122757) stamp set and then the flags in Tangerine Tango on Whisper White
and fussy cut all of this out.
Behind the balloon, I die cut a piece of Whisper White with the Labels Collection Famelits (125598) and ran that piece through the Cloudy Day embossing folder (127022). The strip of designer paper Sycamore Street and the Tangerine Tango ribbon are both Sale-a-Bration items.
Finally I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set on Whisper White and punch it out using the Large Oval punch (119855) and added a few small hearts.
Remember, you can order all these items off my Stampin' Up! website.

For You...

I made this shape card using the Floral Frames Framelits die(127012).
I started by die cutting the card base of Raspberry Ripple card stock(115316).
The second layer was die cut from one of the pattern papers from
Sycamore Street dsp(Sale-A-Bration 127540) using the #2 die in the framelits set.
The butterfly is the beautiful Swallowtail(129216) image from the 2012 Spring Mini which I stamped with Versa mark(102283) and then black heat embossed(109133) on Whisper White(100730).
I coloured in the image with coordinating ink using Stamping Sponges(101610), then strategically die cut the image using the #3 die in the framelits set.
The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Banners(126257) and co-ordinating Bitty Banners Framelits (129267) dies. The pearls(119247) added an elegant touch.

For You...

Hi All
A simple card today using some Stampin' Up goodness.
I started by adhering 3 strips of pattern paper from the Festival of Prints Designer series paper stack on Very Vanilla(101650) card stock, then run it through the Honeycomb(129378) embossing folder. I stamped this 'For You' label from the Layered Labels(127072) stamp set in Island Indigo(126986) and Cherry Cobbler(126966), die cut the Island Indigo piece using the Apothecary Accent dies(127003) and punched the Cherry Cobbler using the 1 3/4" x 7/8" Large oval punch(119855) and popped it up using stampin' dimensionals. Punched a hole on either end of the label and attached it with Linen Thread(104199).
The Beautiful Wings Embosslits die(118138) was used to make the lovely butterflies which I adhered with glue dots.
I then put the whole on a Island Indigo(122923) card base.
Remember if you need to, you can order 24/7 by clicking on my Stampin' Up site.
I posted this on Little Scrap Pieces challenge blog.
The Friday challenge is Emboss it!

FCCB 149 - Kiss the Cook

Hi All,
A new challenge over at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog today.
This time its, Kiss the Cook... Include a recipe on your project.
I used my Gypsy to weld this martini glass from the Nifty Fifties cartridge to a 4 1/14" x 5 1/2" craft card base. I've had this stamp for so long and just now had a chance to use it.
It's a recipe for cosmopolitans.
I added a Happy Birthday stamp from Stampin' Up.

The designer paper is Beach Babe form Fancy Pants Designs and the ribbon is Dollar Store.
