Happy Birthday Mom!

Hi All,
I made this card for my Mom who celebrated a birthday last week.
I first saw this over at Paperworks with Ruthy.
I thought this was such a cool idea, I had to try it out.
The dress on my card was made by using the corset and umbrella in the Rue Des Fleurs stamp set from Stampin' Up!, shown below. I coloured up the image with my Copic markers before I cut it out and put it together. I then popped it up on layers die cut form the Labels Collection Framelits, and ran the vanilla layer through the Fancy Fan Folder all Stampin' Up!
Viola's Lace wheel stamp worked well with the whole design also.
The sentiment I used is from a stamp set called Simple Thoughts.
(sorry i don't know the company, i had this set for so long)
My Mom was so pleased, and she had a Happy Day!

Back to School...Fantabulous Cricut Crawl

Hi All,
Today is our EIGHTH Fantabulous Cricut Crawl...Fantabulous Cricut's version of a Blog Hop!
Summer is coming to an end and we are all getting ready for BACK TO SCHOOL...each Design Team member will be featuring an original BACK TO SCHOOL Project that includes a SCHOOL RELATED Item, such as crayons, rulers, pencils, book, school bus, etc.
along with at least ONE Cricut Cut.
If you've come from visiting Nikki's blog at Crafty Calamitiesyou're in the right place!
If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our
Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start HERE.
Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration!
There will be PRIZES along the way at our DT members' blogs,
AND there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant that submits a
"Back to School" project at FCCB!
How fun is that?

For my project, I chose to incorporate a big yellow school bus.
I started with this Cricut Cut from the Potpourri Basket cartridge.
I ran the bus through the Cuttlebug folder-Flowers.
Then added some clouds by masking and sponging on some Stormy Sky Tim Holtz Distress ink.
The first sentiment is from Stamping Bella and the other is a combination of MFT-Joy Ride and Lawn Fawn's Jessie's ABCs.
The Designer Series Paper is from Stampin' Up!.
Now it's your turn! Let's see your BACK TO SCHOOL projects!
Make sure to include a Cricut Cut somewhere on your project!
Next stop, Sonya's Paper TrailShe does some great work.
And when you're done, make sure to link up your project to FCCB's Fantabulous Cricut Crawl post to be entered into the contest!

Happy Crawling!

FCCB - National Tooth Fairy Day...

Hi All,
In recognition of National Tooth Fairy Day,
has another great challenge for us today.
This time the challenge is to make a project
using a tooth, tooth fairy or smile.
I chose to make a window card using the word phrase 'Smile'
from the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge.
All the layers for this card are cut from the great new petite paper stack from Lawn Fawn.
The card was finished by adding some stitching lines in white and black
pens along with a small punch flower over the 'i'.
Remember to check out the other great projects in this
challenge today by the Fantabulous design team.
Thanks for stopping by again...

Get Well Card

Hi All,
a quick post today....
If you visit my blog often, you will find that I like to use this background technique of using scraps that is demonstrated by Gina K on Stamp TV.
I coloured up this scooter image from Stampin' Up's - On the Go (discontinued)
with my Copic Markers, layered it on a tag and added stitching lines.
The sentiment is from Stamping Bella and the ribbon is from the dollar store.
I layered this on all onto black card stock and then onto craft card stock.

FCCB #123 - Jump in and Cool off!...

Make a Splash...On you Birthday!
Another great challenge from the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog this week!
Challenge #123 is Jump in and Cool off! Make a project with a water theme.
I've always loved this bikini on the Nifity Fifties cartridge,
So this was my chance to use it.
The font on the Kate's ABC's cartridge is also useful for large word card images.
I added this punched boarder from EK Success - Beach Scene.
....and sticking lines alway finish off a card nicely
