FCCB #114 - Memorial Day

Hi All,

The challenge over at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog this week is to make a project using the color red plus anything that makes you think of Memorial Day (ie. a flag, military symbol, or poppy).

I cut the card base from the Wild Card cricut cartridge. The tan and red circles are cuts from Accent Essentials cartridge. The coloured up this poppy image from Gina K's - Hugs & Prayers set with my Stampin' Write markers and the sentiment is Stampin' Up's - Define Your Life.

Memorial Day is not a Holiday we have here in Canada, but I want to wish our neighbours to the south a Good day.

Time.....

I saw this quote a few weeks ago and I thought how true,

and how it would be a nice sentiment on a card for a

friend who may need a little encouraging.

So I employed my trusty computer and printer to create it.

On the inside it says "hang in there!"

For the background I used Gina K's technique of

Using Your Scraps.

Spoil Yourself!

I made this card for my friend Adele,

of whom we both celebrated birthdays together last month.

The image along with the sentiment

is another one of my favourites from Kraftin' Kimmie.

I used Crystal Effects on the bubbles to make them shiny,

and the bling on the little chandilier is from the Dollar store.

All the supplies I used are posted below along with their link.

if you have any questions you can email me.
